This is the story of a river and a group of people.
Periyar represented the flow of pure water that originates from the Sahya
mountains, providing water of life to millions of living beings before it
embraces the Arabian Sea. Its environs and the people living there today
are in adversity and misery. This novel provides an insight into the
painful experiences of those who had to bear the brunt of misery and misfortune
brought about by the environmental degradation.
